Optiv8 is led by founder Rick Shea, a promotion marketing industry expert with a unique perspective and depth of knowledge gleaned from 18 years working with Nielsen Promotion Services (division of AC Nielsen), NCH Promotional Services, Herbert A. Watts and Resolve Corporation. Rick’s roles evolved from a variety of consultative account management assignments through to VP Marketing & Client Services with Canada’s dominant market leader in consumer promotion management and fulfillment.
These roles gave Rick the privilege of both learning from and advising some of the best and brightest marketing minds in Canada. In working with and providing strategic and tactical advice to marketers from consumer packaged goods companies and a variety of other industries, Rick developed a rare and unique understanding of promotional marketing effectiveness dynamics, and gained insights into marketers’ broader challenges and needs.
Among the hundreds of marketers Rick interacted with over the years, some notable clients included Procter & Gamble, Nestlé, General Mills, Reckitt-Benckiser, Bell Mobility, Apple, Shell, Colgate-Palmolive, Clorox, HJ Heinz, Effem Foods (Mars), McCain Foods, and many others, along with their marketing agencies and other service providers.
